Fire Spinning Lessons by the Burn Academy!
The Burn Academy also provides fire spinning lessons through the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Marine in Long Beach. Classes are held at the Colorado Lagoon in Long Beach, which has been secured by the Burn Academy as a legally permitted and insured practice space for fire performance artists.

Beginning Fire Hoop Dance:

Duration: 6 Weeks

Materials: Hoops available for loan/purchase.
Learn the basic fundamentals of Hoop Dancing! Hoop on your waist, hips, above your head, and learn how to take the hoop on and off your body in beautiful spirals. Students will have the opportunity to light up during the last class, at instructor's discretion.

Beginning Fire Poi:

Materials: $20 for practice poi, or students may provide their own.
Practiced by the Maori people of New Zealand for thousands of years, poi is currently one of the hottest new forms of dance and exercise. Learn basic poi moves, transitions, and fire safety. Students will have the opportunity to light up during the last class, at instructor's discretion.
